Its difficult to pinpoint the actual or official origin of coffee, as there are many stories from all over the world that desire the credit for the creating one of the worlds most popular beverages. &nbsp;One legend has it that a goat farmer in Ethiopia noticed that his goats had much more energy after consuming certain berries and decided to make a drink from the berries. &nbsp;Today coffee is probably second to tea in popularity worldwide. &nbsp;In United States for example there are many cafes that offer coffee made from beans that originate from all over the world. &nbsp;Depending on someones preference to flavor, there is a cult following in regard to a coffee's origin. Some people believe coffee made from Colombian beans is superior, others prefer Ethiopian, Hawaiian, Brazilian, or Indonesian. Scandinavian countries tend to consume the most coffee among all nations worldwide.

In the early 1900's the U.S. and Germany had stuffed toy bears that started to become popular with children. &nbsp;The term "teddy" derives from the attribution of the bears to U.S. President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt as he was commonly known as "teddy." Also as the story goes, the President was on a hunting trip and all the other men had made a kill during the hunt and the President had yet to do so, one of the men had hounds chase, corner and tie a black bear to a tree and wait for Roosevelt to come and kill it. &nbsp;Upon arriving at the scene of the bear, the President was not happy and felt that shooting the bear was not proper sport at all, nevertheless he had the bear killed for humane reasons and to end the bear's suffering. &nbsp;A cartoon depicting the disgusted President and the bear was created and circulated in the Washington Post newspaper and inspired a man to create a stuffed bear as a toy. &nbsp;Years later teddy bears continue to thrive in popular culture throughout the world and today there even exist's a billion dollar industry for the toy.

To make garments or to make fabrics come together with a thread, there is no other invention that saves as much time in this tedious process than a sewing machine. This machine is used to sew fabric and materials together with thread and with the aid of a skilled operator, make numerous types of clothing, blankets, awnings etc. &nbsp;First invented during the Industrial Revolution, sewing machines were used to reduce the amount of time and manual labor required by clothing companies to make clothes. &nbsp;In the late 1800's and early 1900's several machines were introduced to market and each one making improvements on the other. There are two main types of machines, one is the industrial type used for factories and large scale applications, and the other is the more recognizable domestic one seen in households. Today many women still use sewing machines at home for personal use making clothing, blankets and various arts and crafts. &nbsp;

The art of making a bed consist mostly of tightening up the sheets, and aligning the blankets and pillows in a neat fashion. In the military, especially during training endeavors such as basic training, the art of making a bed is heavily scrutinized. During an inspection period an easy way to know if a recruit's bed is made in a satisfactory manner is when a Drill Instructor attempts to bounce a quarter of the top of the bed. &nbsp;If a quarter bounces during the inspection, then it is thought to demonstrate a great example, of a highly organized process of a tight and tidy bed up to military specification, earning a passing passing grade. &nbsp;One of the more memorable motivational speeches in modern history came from Admiral McRaven's University of Texas speech to recent graduates when told them “If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed. If you make your bed every morning, you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride, and it will encourage you to do another task, and another, and another. &nbsp;Wise words from a decorated and wise man.

The little cookie that often accompanies Asian cuisine as a small treat or appetizer and carries a message inside, is a crisp sweet cookie usually made from flour, sugar, vanilla, and sesame seed oil. &nbsp;The cookie's main claim to fame and what makes it different than any other cookie in the market is the piece of paper inside, called a "fortune", on which some type of words of wisdom or prediction is printed. The message inside may also include a Chinese phrase with translation to english or a list of lucky numbers.&nbsp; Fortune cookies usually come complimentary with Chinese take out food but also can be served as a dessert in Chinese restaurants. In the United States and although the name might suggest, the cookies are not actually of Chinese origin. The exact origin of fortune cookies is unknown, but there are many people in California for example that claim to have created them in the USA.&nbsp;

Crabs are a delicious food that many people in the United States consume each year. &nbsp;The popularity of the food has even been showcased in recent years by the reality show "Deadliest Catch." The reality television series seen on the Discovery Channel, shows crab fishermen aboard fishing boats in the Bering Sea during the Alaskan king crab and snow crab fishing seasons and all the trials and triumphs that go with finding, selling and making a living from the crabs. After watching the show, people have been able to understand why the cost to buy and eating the Alaskan King Crab for example is so expensive.

There are so many styles and fashion of hats that cater to different professions as well as overall fashion preferences. &nbsp;Hats can provide an invaluable utility in protecting people from the harmful effects of the sun and in some hotter climates, people can be seen wearing hats as preferred daily wardrobe accessory. &nbsp;One of the more identifiable style of hats in the U.S. is the Cowboy Hat. Rocks are as old as the planet earth we all live on. &nbsp;One type of rock called sedimentary rock, is formed by the help of wind and water erosion. &nbsp;Once the sediment starts breaking off into pieces and gradually along with sand, pebbles, shells and plant matter gather into layers called sediment that over many years hardens into what is then called a rock. &nbsp;Today rock collecting, or the more official sounding term of amateur geologist's, can be found collecting many types of rocks for various collections. &nbsp;Another nickname for a person that likes to collect rocks is "Rockhound."&nbsp;

There is however a fifth page, the Letter of Transmittal of when the Constitution was to be written and delivered to the Congress &nbsp;under the Articles of Confederation. The letter, which describes theConstitution, is signed by George Washington, who at the time was the President of the Constitutional Convention. Okay, so we have all done it...squint one of your eyes and gnash your teeth while saying the popular pirate phrase "ahoy, matey". &nbsp;Today is a day to unleash your inner pirate, &nbsp;because it's International talk like a pirate day! The golden age of piracy occurred around the late 1600's and early 1700's and involved operations in waters of the Caribbean, &nbsp;Indian Ocean, and West Africa. &nbsp;Often the naval training for pirates originated while serving in european navies such as Great Britain's Royal Navy. At this time in history there was an increase in valuable cargo and treasure being shipped to and from European countries involved in exploration or colonization around the world. &nbsp;With government corruption, lack of stable law governing the seas, many ambitious men from poorer nations seized the opportunity to attack pillage and plunder ships traveling with precious metals and other valuable items. Some of these battles and wealth that was created for the captains of the pirate ships has created an interesting legacy of books and movies to capture our imagination of the piracy life.

There is no way of really knowing what year, who and exactly when the first dance was performed by humans. &nbsp;In ancient times as well as today, dancing is a common way to celebrate an occasion or simply an activity that many people enjoy doing together as a leisurely activity. Some people take dancing very seriously and different styles of dance have many competitions. Salsa for example, usually has a couple that dance together while dressed up in beautiful attire and are judged by their dance routine originality and adherence to the style of dance they are performing. &nbsp;These salsa competitions are often held at Salsa Congress which is a multi day event that showcases, teaches and holds salsa dancing contests. Cultures all over the world have different celebratory styles of dance and different traditional style clothing to honor a culture or heritage. &nbsp;In the United States television dance competitions shows such as "Dancing with the Stars" are very popular and have millions of viewers.

Since the world began, human beings have had a desire for peace. &nbsp;On this day people and nations around the world celebrate a time with no war or violence. &nbsp;Depending on the time and place, this celebration could come in the form of a cease fire or truce, or something hoped for in the future that is not the current situation. &nbsp;Peaceful nations often have a higher standard of living and better quality of life for its citizens. Currently Iceland enjoys the status of the worlds most peaceful country according the the Global Peace Index that has been keeping track of such things such as falling homicide rates, &nbsp;and the number of conflicts the country is engaged in around the world. &nbsp;The word Peace often conjures up images of the famed "Peace Sign" that was created by Gerald Holtom as an emblem for nuclear disarmament.&nbsp;

Miniature golf, is also known by a slew of other names such as: minigolf, mini-putt, midget golf, crazy golf, or putt-putt. The goal of the game is to score the lowest number of points by putting the ball into the hole with the fewest number of stokes. Most miniature golf courses use artificial putting surfaces such as artificial turf. &nbsp;The courses are created by using unique obstacles such as tunnels, tubes, ramps, moving windmills, and all kinds of imaginative creations to challenge how many times it takes you to put the ball into the hole. Many of these courses can be found at resorts or family oriented theme parks. &nbsp;Miniature golf has always been a fun activity for date night and remains popular in the United States.

Currently the market and demand &nbsp;for comic books is largest in Japan. Collecting comic books have been a traditional hobby for years and today many vintage and collectible comics command great sums of money. The valuable ones will have 10c, 12c, 15c, 20c, or 25c on the cover and today could be worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars. &nbsp;
