Play a game of Scrabble or maybe another game such 4 pics 1 word. Read a book. Complete a crossword puzzle.  Write a poem.  Sing a song by reading the music.  Finish that term paper you've been putting off.  Teach yourself a new word and learn the origins and also words that rhyme with the word new word you learned.

Attention all crossword puzzle solvers, today is a day to celebrate words.  Along with other types of word nerds,  and bookworms. On this day its cool to read or solve crosswords puzzles. Words are at the core of so many professions and hobbies, such as musicians, writers, poets and speakers.  In poetry once the words are recited aloud for others to hear, the words come alive and the action is referred to as "The Spoken Word".  Some have said the tongue is more mighty than the sword, it is true that careful selection of words can motivate, offend, create joy or sadness and can be very powerful as tools of persuasion in religion, politics and business.  Its okay to be a word nerd, as we all find some words fascinating and a good crossword puzzle can always break up boredom on that subway ride into work.
